Terms and Conditions
Online / in-store orders
- After submitting the order online, please be sure to pay in full within 24 hours after placing the order. We will reply to confirm the order via WhatsApp as soon as possible. Otherwise, the order will be deemed void.
- Since the online system cannot display the real-time inventory of products, some products need to be ordered from the manufacturer in advance. If you have any inquiries about the product delivery date, please contact us before placing the order.
- Furniture delivery generally takes 4-8 weeks . If it is a customized product, it usually takes 6-10 weeks .
- Affected by COVID-19 , furniture production and shipping times may be delayed. WOODGATHER promises to do its best to coordinate. We apologize for any inconvenience.
Display order
- All display items require full payment when ordering, and no deposit is required to reserve the goods.
- If you choose display products or defective products, you need to understand that some products may have minor defects or damage. We recommend that customers go to the store to carefully inspect each item before purchasing. Once purchased, returns or exchanges are not allowed︒
What you need to know before purchasing
- Furniture materials (solid wood, rattan and other products) are natural materials, including but not limited to wood color, tree knots, tree eyes, and texture. Each piece is unique and has natural characteristics. Therefore, the goods may not be exactly the same as those displayed in the store and the pictures displayed. If customers like the items displayed in the store, they can inquire with us about the sales status of the displayed items.
- Since solid wood furniture involves natural materials and is made by hand, the furniture may have partial repairs, which generally do not affect normal use and furniture structure.
- Furniture dimensions are measured manually, and there may be a (+/-) 1cm tolerance.
What customers need to know
- After the goods arrive, customers must immediately check whether the goods are in complete and good condition, and please sign the delivery note. Our company is not responsible for any problems after delivery of the goods.
- The consignee must be over 18 years old and be your authorized representative. Any instructions, information or actions provided by the consignee represent you.
- If the customer cannot be contacted and delivery cannot be arranged for more than 15 months, the order will be automatically canceled and the full payment and products will not be returned.
- WOODGATHER can provide customers with free storage services for 6 months. After that period, each piece of furniture will be charged a storage fee of $100 per month. The storage period starts from the order date.
- WOODGATHER products do not provide any maintenance and repair services. Therefore, the company does not have any responsibility if anything happens in the future after the consignee signs for the goods.
Delivery and installation services
- After the furniture purchased by the customer arrives at the Hong Kong warehouse, WOODGATHER will notify you via WhatsApp as soon as possible , and the delivery staff will call or contact you via WhatsApp within 4 working days to make an appointment for the delivery date and time.
- If the customer needs to change the delivery date and time after the reservation date, Please be sure to contact us via WhatsApp at least 3 working days before the delivery date for arrangement. And please note that the delivery date and time can only be changed once .
- If no one answers the door at the delivery address on the delivery day, the delivery fee will not be refunded. If you need to arrange delivery again, we will charge delivery fees again.
- If the delivery day encounters force majeure such as severe weather, severe flooding, road obstruction or closure, the delivery service may be delayed or suspended. We will notify customers via WhatsApp to make further arrangements.
- If the delivery information / contact information is incorrect and the delivery cannot be successfully scheduled or arranged, delivery may be delayed.
- It is the customer's responsibility to ensure that the purchased products can smoothly pass through the channels, elevators, corridors, stairs, etc. of the delivery address. If the goods cannot pass due to the above reasons, the transport personnel will park the goods at the nearest location and receive the goods. If the order is handed over by hand, the delivery fee on the same day will not be refunded, and the customer needs to arrange the transportation and fees later by themselves.
- WOODGATHER 's cooperative transportation fleet is arranged in the form of outsourcing. In addition to the basic freight collected by our company, all surcharges must be paid before delivery or paid to the delivery team in cash on the day of delivery.
Related shipping costs
- The basic charges for delivery and installation services are as follows: Hong Kong, Kowloon and New Territories ($600) . There are additional charges for large furniture or high-priced housing estate parking lots.
- Each order and delivery fee is limited to delivery to the same address and is a one-time fee only. If after ordering furniture, you want to deliver it to more than one address, or split the delivery on more than one date, the shipping fee will be charged again.
- An additional fee of $200-300 will be charged for delivery to remote areas : Sai Kung (except Tseung Kwan O urban area), Mount Davis Road, Shawan Path, Nam Van, Chung Hom Kok, The Peak, Tai Tam, Chong Chui, Shek O, Qian. Water Bay, Sham Shui Bay, Discovery Bay, Park Island, Tung Chung or mountainous areas, rural areas, walled villages, etc. that cannot be reached by cargo.
- Arrangements for outlying island areas (Lantau Island, south of the Wanjia Road roundabout, Lamma Island, Cheung Chau and Ping Chau, etc.) or restricted areas: Before delivery to the ferry terminal or restricted areas, customers must arrange sea or subsequent transportation by themselves. Cargo loading and unloading and installation matters.
- If delivery requires going up / down stairs, there will be an additional charge: there is no lift at the delivery location or the goods must be delivered via stairs, customers must pay a handling fee of HK $150 per floor . Large furniture such as wardrobes, sideboards and sofas will be subject to a moving fee of HK $250 per floor , with a maximum of five floors. ( If the number of stairs is more than three, it will be counted as one floor)
- If the delivery address cannot be reached by vehicle and the distance required to move to the delivery location exceeds 100 meters / takes more than 3 minutes, additional service fees will be charged.
- The delivery and installation fees do not include wall installation / old furniture disposal services. If you need assistance, you can contact us for a quote at least 3 days in advance before delivery, and pay the relevant fees in cash on the delivery day.
What you need to know about self-pickup
- Customers can choose to pick up the goods themselves, or call a truck / moving company to pick up the goods themselves, and the cost will be borne by the customer. The customer or the authorized party is responsible for providing the original or copy of the receipt as proof on the day of picking up the goods, and inspecting and signing for the goods before picking up the goods. If there is any damage or dispute after the goods are shipped out and signed for, they will not be returned or exchanged.
Refund and exchange arrangements
- Once the order is confirmed, all items are non-refundable.
- If the furniture requires an exchange due to production defects, please take a live photo of the goods on the day of delivery and contact us via WhatsApp immediately.
- All exchange orders are subject to the following conditions: deviations due to the natural color, texture, smell or personal preference of the furniture, or slight imperfections in handicrafts, light scratches and partial repairs on the solid wood will not be accepted, or the items will be sent for free. Replacement is required for natural phenomena that occur after the goods are delivered (such as cracks, deformation, etc.) and conditions caused by man-made use (such as ironing, watermarks, peeling, etc.). - The fleet delivered by WOODGATHER is outsourced. The company is not responsible for any damage caused by the delivery and installation process (including but not limited to building facilities, customer home facilities and decoration).
