The origin of my valley basin originated from Ishikawa, Japan in the 17th century. Wagatani County is a production area for wooden roofs, so there are many small pieces of wood left over. So the locals used these woods to make plates. The larger ones were used as food and changing trays, while the smaller ones were used to store small tools or carry food offerings in temples. Unfortunately, in 1961, an accident occurred during the construction of the dam, resulting in a small The village was flooded and the craftsmanship disappeared after the villagers were evacuated.
Until later, the famous lacquer craftsman Kuroda Tatsuki comes occasionally When he visited the village, he discovered my valley basin craftsmanship, and he continued to Villages near Wagatani, visit surrounding villagers, Try to revive this traditional craft. In the past few decades, workshops and exhibitions have been opened all over Japan, making the traditional crafts that had disappeared become popular again in Japan.
